Hotlist Searches

Hotlist Searches are searches that you have found to provide effective results and you will want to run them frequently when you are using Connect.

Hotlist Searches are great because you can run them from your Home Page and get immediate List View results. You do not have to go to your Search Projects screen to load a Saved Search.

How to Set Up a Hotlist Search:

Having made your selections from the Search Project screen, name your Search then click in the Hotlist box above the Save button for naming your Saved Searches. Click on Save. See Red circled items.

In this example, we have named the search GA Planning Medical having selected GA from the State field, Planning from the Phase field, Medical from the Category field and used an Update Date 03/01/2006.

Now this Search will appear on your Home Page:

Now when you log into Connect GA Planning Medical can be run by just clicking on this link to obtain your results.

Note that you did not have to go into Search Projects and Load your Saved Search to obtain your results.

Ongoing Use of Hotlist Searches:

Remember from above that we used the Update Date of March 1, 2006 for this Hotlist Search. As you continue to use your Hotlist Search you may want to amend the Update Date field to reflect more current information.

Run your Hotlist Search as shown above. When you obtain your List View results, click on the Modify Search button.

This will take us back to the Search Projects screen with the parameters of your Hotlist Search displayed. Now you can amend the date in the Update Date field to a more relevant date.

At this point you just have to click on Save and your Hotlist Search will now reflect the new Update Date field entry.

Your Hotlist Search continues to be on your Home Page and one that you will run often. Just remember that if your List View results do not match what you expect to see, you can click on Modify Search on your List View page to make any necessary changes to your Hotlist Search.
